1️⃣6️⃣ Young People in Germany Are Thinking of Leaving, Lufthansa Goes on Strike Again & Petrol Prices Keep Climbing + Weekly Events, IWB Highlights & More!
Hello again, IWBies! 💖
The days are getting longer, the sun is showing up (sometimes 😅), and somehow the city feels a little more alive, which is exactly the energy we needed after a busy week.
This edition is packed: big news about Germany that directly affects our lives, a full lineup of events for the week of April 13th to 19th, and the usual IWB highlights that remind us we’re definitely not navigating this country alone.
Just a little reminder: we’re a small group of immigrant women doing this voluntarily, balancing work, life, and everything in between, while trying to keep this space informative, supportive and real for all of us navigating Germany together.
Take a deep breath, grab your coffee ☕, and enjoy your weekly dose of Berlin.
With love, Sabrina & your IWB team 💖

🇬🇧 Cost of ETA for UK travel rising by 25%: from €18.45 to €23 from April 8. Book before it goes up if you’re planning a UK trip
📱 Meta blocks Instagrams of Berlin sex-positive clubs: KitKat and Insomnia among those affected. Berlin’s nightlife community is not staying quiet
😤 84% of voters dissatisfied with German government: the highest level of dissatisfaction in years. Feels about right?
