Berghain, Berlin's legendary techno haven, has once again stirred the pot in the latest club rankings by DJ Mag. While it may not hold the title of the best club in Germany—let alone the world—its iconic status remains unchallenged among techno enthusiasts.
This year, Berghain climbed to the 13th spot globally, a slight improvement from last year’s 16th place. Despite not cracking the top ten, the club continues to captivate with its enigmatic allure and cutting-edge beats. The honor of Germany's top club goes to Cologne’s Bootshaus, which impressively snagged the fifth position worldwide.
The techno temple's rise in rank is a testament to its enduring appeal and the vibrancy of Berlin's club scene. Two other Berlin clubs also made the list, with Watergate securing the 34th spot and Tresor falling to 77th, reflecting a dynamic shift in the city’s nightlife landscape.
