Fête de la Musique 2024: Top Spots to Enjoy Live Music in Berlin
Every year on June 21, Berliners celebrate the beginning of summer with an open-air music festival known as Fête de la Musique. This citywide festival, rooted in French tradition, has been a vibrant part of Berlin's cultural scene since 1995. Musicians of all styles, from amateurs to professionals, take to the streets to share their talents with the public for free.

Bonjour au Soleil - A Greeting to the Sun!
Berlin's Fête de la Musique transforms the city into a musical paradise. With more than 80 locations hosting live performances, the festival runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., thanks to a special permit that allows acoustic music to be played on public streets, squares, and green spaces. However, musicians are mindful not to disturb hospitals, schools, or memorials.

Originally a humble celebration of music, it has grown into a global phenomenon, attracting musicians and audiences worldwide. Berlin's first Fête de la Musique was held in 1995 and has since become one of the city's most beloved festivals.
